Allstate Transmission And Auto Repair in Phoenix Project Car Image Diary
Our latest project, a 1996 Chevy Tahoe with the old reliable 5.7L SBC and 4L60E transmission combo is getting underway. We use the Tahoe to deliver transmissions, run for parts and shuttle our customers around. With over 200,000 miles showing on the odometer it was starting to show its age. We decided to give it the once over, but we couldn’t just restore it to its original condition, in order to represent our shop the old 95 Tahoe needed a few cosmetic changes. With the upgrades needed to achieve the image were looking for, it quickly became our next project car.
So far we’ve completed a few of the things on our list.
Image Diary Part 1) Coming up with a good concept to represent our shop.
Image Diary Part 2) Probably the most important part, the drive train was the first thing on our list.
Image Diary Part 3) New 22" rims and tires had a big impact on the stance we were after.
Image Diary Part 4) The four wheel drive Tahoe needed to be lowered 2” up front and 3” out back.
Image Diary Part 5) A few changes to the exterior went a long way in achieving the look we wanted.
Image Diary Part 6) The Wrap; The part of the project that made the biggest difference.
Image Diary Part 7) A few subtle touch-ups to the Tahoe’s exterior finished the look off perfectly.
Image Diary Part 8) Final images of the finished Tahoe project, a shop truck we're proud of.
But projects never seem to be finished...
Image Diary Part 9) The Tahoe's interior; the final part of our shop truck project.
